StoryKeeper
A storytelling platform that turns voice interviews into custom 200-page hardcover books.
The problem
People are capturing more of their lives than ever, but preserving those stories into something lasting and shareable is still hard for most. The aim was to make documenting a personal narrative genuinely easy for everyday people, not just the technically minded.
What we built
We built StoryKeeper as a Next.js web and mobile platform built around an AI voice interviewer: starting from a topic, it guides a voice conversation and summarises it into polished book content. We added book creation and ordering for custom books of over 200 pages, with a cover editor, content previewer, advanced photo positioning and spine design; collaboration between the gifter and giftee so both can shape the book as it is written; multi-language support across German, Spanish, Italian, French and more, including the interviewer itself; and a mobile experience tuned for voice interviews done on the go.
The outcome
When a story is finished, the storyteller receives a hardcover book to gift back to the next generation. The platform is now used by over 10,000 storytellers and runs across multiple countries and languages.
