The sustainable fashion industry—especially its slow fashion segment—has been gaining momentum as consumers increasingly demand ethically produced, environmentally conscious, and high-quality apparel. This is especially true for our customer, Kaanjj, who connects high-quality producers from the South Indian subcontinent with customers in Western Europe.
Product Description
The Kaanjj team had a large list of products, but no home for them online. We set up a custom Shopify website with a refined design and a distinguished look. Since products are shipped overseas, the shipping costs vary greatly - so we added complex shipping and tax handling fees. Kaanjj is now effectively a state of the art e-commerce store and the team can focus on what they do best: establishing relations with the highest quality manufacturers in the region.

Design and Setup
Set up a custom Shopify team with the desired looks - video background, high quality images, modern look and feel. We then loaded up over 10,000 product images via bulk and set up products from the Kaanjj product database.

Size Charts
When dealing with a large number of manufacturers, the sizes vary greatly. We added custom size charts and created processes to update them in bulk (by designer, collection, etc.)

Notify When Back in Store
The slow fashion segment runs out of stock quickly. Customers will see items that they like, but no stock availability. Therefore a way to notify them when the product is back in store is crucial.

Product Collections and Mega Menu
Products are grouped in multiple ways: by designer, by collection, by gender, by event, gifts or top picks, you name it. We added a robust collection functionality to allow the editors to pick and choose, update and refine the lists.
