Kaanjj
A custom Shopify storefront for slow-fashion luxury shipped from South India to Western Europe.
The problem
Kaanjj had a large catalogue but no online home for it. As a slow and sustainable fashion business connecting high-quality producers in the South Indian subcontinent with customers in Western Europe, they needed a store that could cope with overseas shipping costs that vary widely, complex shipping and tax handling, sizing that differs across many manufacturers, the frequent stock-outs typical of slow fashion, and a large catalogue that needed flexible grouping.
What we built
We built a custom Shopify store with a refined, distinguished look: a video background, high-quality imagery, and a modern feel. We bulk-loaded over 10,000 product images and set up products from Kaanjj's product database, then added shipping and tax handling for overseas orders. We built custom size charts with bulk update processes by designer and collection, added back-in-stock notifications for out-of-stock items, and built a robust collection and mega menu system grouping products by designer, collection, gender, event, gifts or top picks for editors to refine.
The outcome
Kaanjj now runs as a fully featured e-commerce store, letting the team focus on what they do best: building relationships with the highest-quality manufacturers in the region.
