Lenderhive
A digital-age mortgage broker that takes consumers from a 3-minute questionnaire to a submitted application.

The problem
Finding a mortgage means wading through countless lenders, varying rates, and dense terms and conditions. Lenderhive, a new London-based broker, wanted to rethink how people understand and apply for mortgages.
What we built
We built the platform on Ruby on Rails. In the background it syncs whole-of-market mortgage data nightly, a complex structure of terms, fees and interest options, ready for the next business day. Consumers complete a 3-minute questionnaire and get a recommended product plus alternatives, with the journey configured through a rich admin panel of stages, question types and integrations. If they proceed with a decision-in-principle, the platform runs an information-gathering journey covering identity verification (passport and proof of address with liveness checks), bank connectivity and affordability assessment, and work history with payslip OCR. It then generates the documentation, collects e-signatures via PandaDoc and submits to the lender. We also built the recommendation algorithm (fixed or variable, repayment or interest-only, cashback, offset, portability), in-browser live chat with screen sharing, joint applications, and responsive support across mobile, tablet and desktop. We delivered iteratively, keeping a working beta running after the first milestones whilst adding components.
