Industry Description

Our customer, Valtar Transporte is an Express Logistics company based in Germany. The company was established in 1999 and has grown to be one of the leading suppliers of transportation services for the Automotive Industry in Europe.

On a typical day, the company will receive 50 to 200 quotation requests and will be converting over 90% of them to contracts. Once a contract has been approved, the dispatch team assigns a vehicle to the job (either their own or a partners’), will generate transportation documents and follow the transport through to completion. The end process consists of money movement operations, including client and partner invoices, together with associated transport documents.

The company acts in the Express Logistics space, where time is of the utmost essence. When a quotation request comes in, the dispatchment team has 25 minutes to calculate the cost and prepare a transportation plan. The cargo is time sensitive and production blocking, so most orders require same day pick-up, and immediate routing towards the destination. In such a dynamic environment, every minute counts.

Accepted quotes are transformed into transportation orders, which are assigned to own vehicles or partners

Transportation Documents

Automatically generate transportation documents, such as CMR Waybills, Transportation Orders and Invoices

Financial Tracking

Track revenue and cost, alerts for overdue accounts receivable and upcoming accounts payable

Vehicle Tracking

Real time vehicle tracking with embedded GPS links, insurance status, driver name and contact details

Permissions System

Multiple administrative user types to reflect strict permissioning including client-only administrators, transport-only administrator
